The exhibition of works by London and international artists will be open on evenings when concerts and events are held, and from 12 noon at the weekends throughout the Festival.
For many years a group of local writers has met weekly to read and share thoughts on their work. They present a selection across many styles and genres to move, amuse and surprise you.

Two exciting young performers will perform music from English, French and German treasure-houses of duos for bass viol, including works by Orlando Gibbons, Christopher Simpson, M. de Sainte-Colombe and Johannes Schenk.

Acknowledged as one of the UK’s leading chamber orchestras, the LMP make a welcome return visit to the Festival. Their programme will include Bach’s A minor Violin Concerto, Britten’s Simple Symphony, a Haydn Symphony and the first performance of Five Nocturnes by Festival Director, Geoffrey Hanson, with Ian Priestley, tenor.
Holy Trinity Church is one of the oldest buildings in East Finchley. A Victorian gem, it is well worth a visit. Choral Evensong is almost an art form in itself and the service will be sung to music contemporary with the building.
London Vintage Jazz Orchestra pay tribute to the great American hot dance bands and jazz orchestras of the Golden Age of the late 1920s and 1930s. They perform from band arrangements from archive collec-tions and from transcriptions from original recordings.
Two distinguished poets read from their works in anticipation of National Poetry Day which falls on 8th October.
Anna Maria Antonius Wierød’s voice combines with citterns, gitterns, lutes and flutes played by Dominik Schneider and Mark Wheeler bringing to life the passionate music of the Renaissance. They will perform Laydie Louthians Lilte, and Ballads, Ayres and Dances from 17th century Scotland.
We welcome the return of this inspired quartet, who will play music by Mozart, Fauré and Brahms.
Geoff Felix presents his traditional Punch & Judy Show complete with Punch, Judy, Baby, Crocodile, Clown & Sausages. In the Church garden, or inside if it’s wet.
This promising young prize-winning organist is Organ Scholar at St Paul’s Cathedral. He will play works by Bach, Mendelssohn, Franck, Howells and Harris.
The orchestra will play exciting music from around the western world, including Magyar, Cossack, American and European, with piano accordion, balalaika and vocal soloists. Their programme includes composers such as Brahms, Johann Strauss, Mussorgsky, and Gershwin.
This now nationally-famous group found its beginnings in East Finchley. Giving concerts of both choral and solo items, the group has become a firm favourite in the Festival.
